Mayawati has helped BJP immensely in getting it’s hold back in UP by imposing NSA on Varun Gandhi. BJP was yearning for a pubic and popular face in the largest state of India. Mayawati helped them get that. Varun is now not only popular in UP but also in whole India as Shiv Sena and RSS were unambiguously supporting him and national media (both print and electronic) gave him unexpected importance. From the date, the EC has recommended BJP to cancel the candidature of Varun to the date of his getting bail from SC, he is in news daily. And I am damn sure that now, after his release, wherever he will go, national media will follow him. BJP has today, already declared that Varun will campaign for party during his parole release period as there is demand for him from various parts of country.
From the day one BJP was supporting Varun without any quandary in their mind. That has helped them prove to the nation that it is still stand with Hindutva ideology. And it was needed for their image. They can not afford to be pseudo-secular as that would mean losing their identity.
By standing by with Gandhi scion, BJP has ensured a life long loyalty of the family. i have heard Varun in a TV interview. And let me tell you he speaks so well and calculated. If ever any comparison between Rahul and Varun would be made, Rahul will be out of scene in fraction of seconds.
By the way i don’t get what was wrong in the statement of Varun Gandhi. He said he will cut the hands coming to harm Hindus. He is talking about saving not hurting. Every body has a duty to save an innocent from being hurt. If you think Varun is wrong then stop fighting terrorism because you will save innocents and kill somebody who is obviously a muslim. He did not name muslims even if it was his intention. He might be talking about terrorists.
A fact about BJP top people is that they are mostly products who have fought against some issue with full force and sustained in that battle. They did not get anything as inheritance. they created space for themself by showing determination. Varun has shown same determination. Having faced injustice and successfully fighting that, he is in line with many senior BJP people.
Whatever, BJP has every reason to rejoice. They got a leader with Gandhi as surname and who has proved his maturity, aggression, will and dedication successfully.
I wish if I could see him assuming bigger responsibilities with maturity and ideology.
Of course I do not know if the video released is doctored or not, but in video he also talked about Osama. Now comparing a person with Osama just because he is Mullah by religion is surely wrong.
he did not name muslims any where in his speech. so technically you can not say if he was refering muslims. i say he was refering terrorists. do you have anything to prove your view?
Don’t be a hypocrite now. He clearly compared Muslims with Obama (again, the video can be doctored). You don’t have a proof that muslims burned the train, yet you justify the riots, right? And if not, you must clearly say that Modi should resign. Your call.
around 2000 people died in gujarat riots, and only 930 muslims claimed compensation rest were either hindus or the amount is unclaimed. beside all the 13 person convicted for godhra train fire case are muslims. as far as varun is concerned, the SC has found nothing wrong in his speech, and only because of that varun is out on payroll. otherwise its not easy to get out of NSA.
Oh please, don’t give me crap like you can not get out. Lalu is still out. So are others. And as far godhara is concerned, I didn’t say who died. I said, riots did take place. And of course, muslims were convicted for godhra train. Does that prove that they are culprits? So, don’t give the bullshit that it has not been proved. The video clearly says that Varun compared Muslims with Osama. And that is surely wrong.
And when did we start talking about on paper numbers? Because then Mughals were Indian and Arya were foreigner.

(again, I do not know the videos are doctored or not), but if someone says this, then he surely is comparing muslims to Osama. And that is not acceptable.
it seems rohit jain is very much worried about muslims. let the court decide on the fate of varun. let the public decide if a person like him is acceptable to them to go to parliament. why we go into technicality of what he had said and what not. interpretation is always very defficult. had varun was making comment against entire muslim community he would have said ‘varun gandhi ki pakad me to saare aane wale hai’ and not ‘Varun Gandhi ke to pakad mein bahut aane waale hain’. he was talking about numerous terrorists in india.
again let the public and court decide it. we are not the adjudicating authority.
If thats the argument you are going to give, then I guess BJP is so stupid party. People have been rejecting them for quite sometime. And anyways, if thats the arguement you are going to give then why try to defend him at first place. Just because he is from BJP’s side doesn’t mean you should support him. Again, I never said he is wrong or anything. The authenticity of the videos has been not proved. But if the video is true, then I would say that Varun Gandhi made anti-muslim comments. And as a nation, as a Hindu nation, it should not be acceptable.

there is a party called lok janshakti party headed by ram vilas paswan. he found out a look alike of osama and is using him as a celebrity to impress upon muslims. so what the girl might be saying is not wrong. she is not comparing muslims with osama, but is comparing osama with osama (lookalike).
